Startupalpha.comStartup Alpha was begun by NYC professor Donna Bogatin who after years of extensive blogging and interaction with the startup community, realized that there was a great need for a support community for startups. The site consists of four subsections: Pitch Community, where startup entrepreneurs can promote their company and network with others; Silicon Alley Alpha Faction, an area that facilitates offline meetings and parties in the Manhattan area for the community; Startup Chatter, a collaborative peer magazine by and for technology entrepreneurs; and Entrepreneurs In Residence, for startup incubation and development advisory services.

Startupalpha.com In Their Own Words

“At the core of the STARTUPALPHA.COM ecosystem is the Startup Alpha Pitch Community network for technology entrepreneurs, where technology startups–and potential tech entrepreneurs–meet in a live support zone for seeding and nurturing current and future entrepreneurial ideas and ventures. Integral to the STARTUPALPHA.COM ecosystem is Silicon Alley Alpha Faction which broadens the tech entrepreneurship conversation by inviting all players in the startup sphere to network together offline, in the heart of the business capital of the world: Manhattan!”

Why Startupalpha.com It Might Be A Killer

In the tech world, a great idea can sometimes be created over the weekend, but in many cases these ideas do not turn into profitable businesses. The reason for this is often quite simply due to the fact that developers do not always have a clue about how to run a business. This is evidenced by the fact that many startups nowadays do not even have a business model. Donna Bogatin is a well-respected person in the startup world and her site could become a successful creator of KillerStartups.

Some Questions About Startupalpha.com

Donna Bogatin’s reputation alone should be enough to get this project off the ground but will the services offered help to create an even more dynamic Silicone Alley startup scene? Startupalpha.com
